You may enter only one ride on a single entry form. Please download additional forms if you wish to enter more than one event.

Please note: All Trail Rides have opening and closing dates!

No entries for any trail ride will be accepted if postmarked prior to the opening days, which are approx. 6 weeks before the rides. By waiting until the opening day, riders will have a realistic idea of whether or not they and their horses will be ready to participate in the ride, cutting down on our MANY last minute scratches.

For competitive rides, all COMPLETE entries mailed on opening day will have the same chance of being accepted into a ride (pleasure rides do not generally fill). This system works quite well for all of the other disciplines at GMHA, and we hope it will do the same for our trail riders!

Complete entries include horse & rider information, all required signatures, a negative coggins within 12 months either enclosed or on-file, and payment.

Post-entries (entries received after the closing date) will be accepted if space is available, but will be subject to a post-entry fee.

April 28 & 29: 15-Mile Mud Ride & Drive

Opening Day: March 10 Closing Day: April 21

A competitive trail ride and drive on Saturday, ride only on Sunday. Entry includes use of stall for the day, a light breakfast, on-trail snack, and post-trail catered lunch. Terrain is very hilly, ride will take place mostly on dirt roads, trails will be used as conditions permit.

May 22: Trailer Ride; May 24-26: Memorial Day Pleasure Rides

Opening Day: April 7 Closing Day: May 16

Thursday Trailer Ride participants will meet in the GMHA parking lot and drive to a different trail head. Thurs, Fri, and Sat rides will be 8-15 miles long, Sun trail will be 5-7 miles. Terrain is very hilly. Entry includes catered lunches.

June 15: 25-Mile Ride and Drive

Opening Day: April 28 Closing Day: June 9

ECTRA Sanctioned. Entry includes Saturday night stabling, snacks, and a catered lunch. There will be a treatment vet On-Grounds during this ride. Terrain is very hilly, will use as much trail as conditions permit.

July 12-13: 25-/25-/50-Mile Ride and Drive

Opening Day: May 26 Closing Day: July 7

ECTRA Sanctioned. Choose your distance~ this ride offers a 25-Mile ride or drive on Saturday, 25-Mile ride on Sunday, or a 50-Mile ride and drive over the weekend. Entries include a catered lunch each day, one or two nights of stabling, and snacks. There will be a treatment vet on-grounds for this ride.

August 29-31: 100/60-Mile Competitive Trail Ride

Opening Day: July 14 Closing Day: August 22

ECTRA Sanctioned. Join us for the 73nd annual 100 Mile! Entries include catered lunches and stabling. All are welcome to attend the Thursday night banquet, held this year at the Woodstock Inn.

August 29-31: Horse Days Pleasure Ride

Opening Day: July 14 Closing Day: August 22

This ride will once again run simultaneously with the 73nd Annual 100-Mile! Entry includes stabling and catered lunches. Friday and Saturday trails will be 8-15 miles long, Sunday trail 5-7 miles.

Fall Foliage I: September 26-28

Opening Day: August 11 Closing Day: September 22

Fall Foliage II: October 3-5

Opening Day: August 18 Closing Day: September 29

Open to GMHA members only! Enjoy the beautiful Vermont fall colors on a relaxed ride on our lovely trails.

October 11: 50-Mile Endurance Ride

Opening Day: August 25 Closing Day: October 6
