Join us for the only Combined Driving Event in New England! Three phases of carriage driving fun.

Friday: FEI CAI* Combined Test (Inermediate II, Intermediate, Training & Prelim)

Saturday & Sunday: Combined Driving Event (Intermediate II through Training)

  • Saturday: CDE Dressage -(except Int. & Int II) and Cones
  • Sunday: CDE Marathon

How do I enter the FEI CAI*?

Membership Requirements

Horses

  • All horses are subject to the FEI Influenza Vaccination Requirements – and need to have identifying documentation (either an FEI passport or clearly readable coggins). The certified statement from your veterinarian: “The vaccination history of this Horse is correct to date. Last vaccination on 00/00/00 date” may be used to summarize a long vaccination history when a new or duplicate Passport is issued.   • US Horses are required to have a Life or Active Annual Recording with the USEF to compete in FEI competitions.
  • Canadian horses must have an EC Horse license and FEI passport and FEI horse registration.
  • Measurement Cards are required if a horse will compete in a class in which the horse/pony height is a factor. The Measurement Card must be presented to the competition secretary for the appropriate classes.
  • Horses are required to have an FEI Registration Number to compete in FEI competitions. USEF (or EC for Canadians) must receive the necessary application forms no later than four weeks prior to the first day of competition. Thus, Registration Numbers cannot be applied for at the competition.
  • FEI Registration Numbers must be annually renewed.
  • FEI passports required for Canadian horses only (US horses don’t need passports).

Owners

  • Owners must have a Life or Active Annual Membership with the USEF (or an EC Sport License for Canadians).

Drivers

  • US drivers must have a Life or Active Annual Membership with the USEF (unless foreign).
  • Canadian drivers must have an EC Platinum Sport License.
  • Drivers are required to have an FEI Registration Number to compete in FEI competitions (Effective January 1, 2006). USEF or Equestrian Canada must receive the necessary application forms no later than four weeks prior to the first day of competition. Thus, Registration Numbers cannot be applied for at the competition.
  • FEI Registration Numbers must be annually renewed.

Notes for Canadian Competitors:

Canadian competitors cannot be allowed to compete in FEI classes without both a letter of permission (in English) from Equestrian Canada stating that they have permission to compete, and they are a current member in good standing and meet any and all other requirements as necessary as well as having a current FEI Registration [see USEF GR1309.2.a.(7), USEF GR828.4, and FEI, GR Article 113, 116 for details].

All FEI CAI* Entries:

  • Pay the International High Performance Fee is $35 per entry (Foreign exhibitors are not exempt from IHP dues.) [Please see USEF GR207 for full details.]
  • Pay the USEF/D&M fee for FEI Competitions is $28.
  • Must enter using the regular entry form and payment info above AND through USEF (or EC for Canadians) through the FEI Entry System. There is no fee to submit an entry through this system for US Events. Athletes MUST continue to enter the events (and pay the entry fees) as they would normally through the normal entry process.
    • How will this effect U.S. Riders Competing in U.S. FEI Events?
      • U.S. Athletes will be required to enter all FEI Events through the USEF at: https://www.usef.org/_AUAIFrames/FEI/Entry/Default.aspx
      • Please Note – The FEI Entry System will not accept entries without the following:
        · FEI Registration – be sure that athletes and horses are registered with the FEI before the entry closing date. Reminder: FEI Registration must be renewed annually.
        · If registering a horse for the first time the FEI the microchip number must be on file before an entry can be made.
