Event Details

This year’s Fall Foliage Rides will feature up to 4 full days of pleasure riding! The fun begins on Thursday with an off site trailer ride in a nearby scenic location. It continues with three days of pleasure riding (Friday through Sunday) from the GMHA grounds.

We invite riders of all disciplines, ages, and abilities to join us for these opportunities to enjoy GMHA’s legendary trails at your own pace with your favorite friends, both human and equine.

Each day begins with a light breakfast fare and ride briefing. Trail is then open for riders to head out on either a short loop or long loop option; depending on weather conditions, lunch may be served at a scenic spot along the way, or back at GMHA.

The Pleasure Rides offer many opportunities for socializing. A Welcome Gathering is held for Friday arrivals at the Vermont Horse Country Store, BYOB. A lovely dinner buffet is held Saturday with entertainment.

Maximize your options to include sightseeing nearby spots of interest, shop downtown, or just hang with your horse under the stable’s eaves, after a good day’s ride. The weekend concludes with a Sunday brunch buffet.

There are single-day, No Frills, and all-inclusive options that include stabling and a special dinner on Saturday night.

Horse Health Requirements

GMHA requires a negative coggins and proof of rabies vaccination within 12 months for each horse that comes on the property.

Please note that the State of Vermont requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days or Exhibition Permit from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Animal Health office for any horses entering the state. GMHA does not require these documents with entry, but the VT Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time.
