Join us for the traditional opening weekend of our off-road trails!

The ride will begin Friday with a Trailer Ride adventure: off site at a nearby location to be announced. The trails we choose will be dependent on the trail conditions, but it will be no more than 30 minutes drive from GMHA. We will meet in the morning and trailer over together.

Saturday and Sunday depart from and return to the GMHA grounds. Each day will feature a different marked trail with short and long mileage options.

There are single-day, No Frills, and all-inclusive options that include stabling and a special dinner on Saturday night.

This year’s Trailer Ride on Friday, May 25th, will have us taking a different look at Mt. Tom and the Marsh-Billings Rockefeller National Historic Park. We will be exploring the historic King Farm property, conserved by the Vermont Land Trust, which adjoins the Park to the South. This perspective offers a new set of trails and views, while we still get to ride around the Pogue and top of the mountain. Join us!

Horse Health Requirements

GMHA requires a negative coggins and proof of rabies vaccination within 12 months for each horse that comes on the property.

Please note that the State of Vermont requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days or Exhibition Permit from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Animal Health office for any horses entering the state. GMHA does not require these documents with entry, but the VT Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time.
