Event Details

Join us for the traditional opening weekend of our off-road trails!

Arrive on Friday if you wish. Feel free to explore our Member’s Loops on that day or explore the beautiful trails in Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historic Park.

Our Rides on Saturday and Sunday depart from and return to the GMHA grounds. Each day will feature a different marked trail with short and long mileage options. Saturdays ride features an on trail lunch (weather permitting). Are you a GMHA Member?  Take advantage of the Members Days  and reserve additional nights’ stabling and ride Monday-Wednesday. Make a vacation of it! Check out the Ranch House for great accommodation options right on the grounds.

There are single-day, no frills and all-inclusive options that include stabling and a special dinner on Saturday night.

There is no camping available for this event weekend, check out other accommodations here

Horse Health Requirements

GMHA requires a negative Coggins and proof of rabies vaccination within 12 months for each horse that comes on the property.  Rabies titers are accepted within one year of event date and must accompany a note from your veterinarian explaining the reason why the vaccine could not be administered.

Please note that the State of Vermont requires a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within 30 days or Exhibition Permit from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture’s Animal Health office for any horses entering the state. GMHA does not require these documents with entry, but the VT Agency of Agriculture may enforce these regulations at any time.
