Memorial Day Trailer Ride 2017
Memorial Day Trailer Ride 2017

Take a Walk on the Wild Side!

This year’s Memorial Day Trailer Ride, Friday, May 26, will be in Weathersfield, VT, on the South slopes of majestic Mount Ascutney. If you went to the Ascutney Trailer Ride last Fall, this is a totally different area – less tame, mostly trail, lots of single-track and mountain streams. There will be short and longer options. Lunch will be at the historic Cook’s Inn, c. 1792 – otherwise known as the residence of Chelle and Eric Grald! Access is easy for any size trailer. The address is 3979 Route 131, Perkinsville, VT. We will meet at GMHA at 8:30 if you’d like to caravan over (15 minutes), or you can go straight there. Pre-ride meeting will be at 10am at the site.

Pre-registration is required. Enter on the Memorial Day Pleasure Ride page.

Our trailhead is the historic Cook’s Inn c. 1792 – Otherwise known as the residence of Chelle and Eric Grald :-).
We’ll have lunch by the pond, weather permitting.
The trails are a mixture of fields, abandoned roads and single-track paths through the woods.
It is quiet and scenic.
There are crystal clear streams and waterfalls.
That’s not a wolf – it is just my dog!
